Junitha, PCOD is a very common problem...so don't worry....its only a matter of time before you conceive...the only advice you'll constantly get is to have a control on your weight and avoid eating fatty or fried items...it is believed that whatever fat is consumed will get deposited on your ovaries resulting in numerous eggs....since the eggs are numerous, none of them will have the ability to mature and hence conception becomes difficult....If I am right, you'll go thru a suppression-stimulation treatment first...wherein, your ovulation will be suppressed for the initial 3 months and the following 4 months your ovulation will be stimulated using medicines, during which, you'll most probably conceive (if you are not obese)....So don't worry....

School n also close to Shoppers Stop in Chetpet found it n the wid mild medications cos it was not severe i got preg n now have a 3month old baby added into our family....so don wori n all wld happen at God's time...
I had the same PCOD problem even before marriage like you. I consulted doctor 2 yrs after my irregularity started. Had been to couple of doctors before i felt comfortable with Dr.Geetha Haripriya. The address stated above by Vimala.
I underwent lot of mental stress whether I wud conceive or not. But Dr.Geetha found the hormones that causes the PCOD which varies from person to person.I had excess prolactin secretion. She gave medication and advised me not to postpone pregnancy too long(1 yr was ok as per her advice). My periods became very very normal for 8 months. After that it again started. I approached her again few months later and she advised me on some medications to conceive in the form of tabs. I exactly followed her advice. Due to some reason i was out of station the month, i took tab to conceive. So that month i did not conceive. The following month without any tabs i conceived.
But my pregnancy got confirmed after around 45-50 days. So don't be in a hurry to decide that u've not conceived. My frnd who had same prob told me tat in cases like ours there are lot of possibilities tat preg card test wud show positive bit late also.
I have a son who is 3 yrs now. Only thing is that as soon as u know u've conceived u must imm visit doctor. Maintain yr wt by eating low fat food. If possible do excercise daily.
Dr.Geetha Haripriya is the best infertility splist. You need to have patience to wait to consult her. Hospital is opposite Neyveli House also if I am rt.If you go by bus next to KMC stop.If not Dr.Geetha don't go to normal gynaec.Find a infertility splist.

Try to visit Dr. Jaya Vijayaraghavan At Sri Ramachandra Hopital, Porur... she will be available between 8am to 4pm From MON to SAT..she helped me a lot like mother when i had same type of issue. Do take care and have proper medicines on time.
I hope by now ur problem about pcod has many answers as mentioned by many moms above, i am also facing the same problem. and i am pregnant now 2 1/2 months .and i still have a cyst in my left ovary, keeping my fingers crossed that it would dissolve soon, though i was aware about the cyst in my ovary much much earlier like u even before marriage , i took medicine and once the periods were regular , i discontinued the medicine, then i got married, delivered a baby and now on the way for my second one.
Though i didnt have much problem with my first delivery, and for my second one the doctor did not confirm my pregnancy till the 6th week as i was spotting a bit. now doctors did advice me to take rest and take the medicine .
So dont get worried too much there are many hospitals and doctors who are specialist in this field, u just haveto find the right one and get treated .

This is my first pregnency and my gynec is super cool... because of her i seriouly did not have much fears about my pregnecy... Her name is Shanti Sanjay and she practices at the Venkateshwara hospital in Chamiers Road. She is real good.
Five months back i gave birth to a healthy baby girl with the help of my Dr. GEETA HARIPRIYA . she is my first baby and i had lot of complications like high BP, i also suffered from diabetes ( now everything is fine). Thankgod i was in good hands. I would suggest u should meet her once she is very polite n helpful also.

junitha you can try Dr.K.Uma she has her own clinic in mahadevan street west mambalam. She is very positive and you get a lot of positive energy built in you when you start talking to her. She has treated my cousin sister for problems similar to yours.
Once you visit Dr. Revathy Ananth (around 65 yrs) at A.V.Hospital at Abhiramapuram, i think you will be most satisfied. She is an expert gyaenic/obstetric and breast cancer screening expert. She is just wonderful.
