Can anyone give me a good gift idea for my husband? His b'day is coming shortly and I am totally out of ideas for buying a gift for him...He is 35 and is a senior Finance professional...He just got some clothes for himself...and I have given him all sorts of music players, cuff links etc...he has umpteen number of wallets...
anything else I can give him? my budget is 5k max..
You cud gift him a good parfume. You will get Calvin Klen, Hugo Boss, uDV etc., at prizes less than Rs.3000/-
You could also gift him some basics, which men (atleast my hubby) miss out quite frequently.
Tie (s), Hand Kercheif (s), Shoe Shiners & Polish (Black & Brown), Mont Blanc (??) Pens, Good cotton and also wollen Socks (2 of each in different colors, matching his trouser colors), bathing robes, Sun Glasses (some good makes, in tints of black, sandstorm, purple etc., u will get in Turakhia's)
There is also another thing which you can do. But this is very subjective, to each one's likings.
You cud donate Rs.2500/- to the blind school, near Gemini Flyover and after you have visited the inmates there, you cud cuddle up for some good romantic dinner at the Kebab Factory, Hotel Raddisons or drive down to the Ideal Beach and have dinner, and party hard. :)
Hey btw, are you taking your add-on card with you.
Check out this link and if it humors you do leave an impression.
Last Birthday, I gave my hubby something different. I contacted all his close friends and relatives( some of them are abroad and he havent met them for a long time) through email, and asked them to send a small writeup on what they think about him and also a photograph of theirs. After all of them sending the pic and the writeup, I made a collage with the comments and pic of who told what. In the collage, I also added a photo of myself and our daughter and put what we also think about him. I took a photoprint of this collage( in a bigger size), got it framed and gifted it to him on his bday along with 2 shirts. He was totally surprised and was so excited to recive this gift. Just my thoughts!
If you wanna surprise your husband this bday do it my style what i did for my husband this time.
I arrange a guitarist who sung his fav song at 12 in the night wearing personalised T-shirts of happy bday to "abc" can print your hubby name...alng with flower and cake then next day i sent a chauffer driven car for him whole day that chauffer will be with him(my husband drive we dont have driver so:)) and chauffer was wearing again the personalised t-shirt.then i gave him a photo framed with our sweet memories with his fav champangne bottle and we had a dineer in taj.
all this costed me around 6k and the amount of happiness i saw on his face is priceless.
if you need any help to arrange all this contact me i will help you my no is 9381728282...cheers
Wow! Ritu and Greeshma.........you gals are the most creative and the most romantic ones I have ever known....however, considering the fact that I work and I have twins who don't give me luxury of even taking a phone call at home and also considering the fact that I was undergoing some serious physiotherapic treatment from 5th Feb onwards (Bhavani, please note this point and don't smack me for not making it to the meet-up), I got a gift card for 5k from Rex fashions with 1 year validity so that he could get whatever he wants...and he ofcourse liked it...(what other options does he have?)
Hi...what ever gift u buy for him, dont give it in his hand...instead play a "TREASUREHUNT" game and make him search for the gift in urr home...hide the gift and give clues for him to find out.Thats what i did...more than the gift, he was happy the way it was given and enjoyed guessing the clues......
For my hubby's birthday , i tried these each year and he liked it so much
1) A treasure hunt,..i gave him a birthday card and kept 2 small pieces of paper. one had the clue for the gift and the other the location...Then the next gift will have another set of paper... This went on for 7 or 8 gifts
2) All his friends and family, recorded about him for 2 or 3 lines....i took every thing copied in a cd and gave it
3) for his 30th birthday, i asked his friends to write about his 30 charactersistics. Each of them wrote about a 3 or 4...i got 30 in total...Then categorized, printed and put in a big card and gave it to him
He enjoed all the gifts and now i'm looking out for ideas for his next birthday...All ideas are welcome
